a truly effective and gifted teacher, spare and rare. I was only a student of his for one brief workshop, but it was easy to see why he taught the best.

Thanks so much for this, Bryce. I couldn't agree more. And I would venture to say that this is particularly true for actors of color who have even fewer opportunities to audition for other peoples' projects.

I extend an invitation to all my fellow Workshop Company members to come see my first solo show, SPEAK UP CONNIE, running Feb 5, 7, 8, 12 & 15 at Stage Left Studio. Tix are normally $22, but you can use the code CINDYPAL for $12 tix.
http://www.stageleftstudio.net/tour-ticket.php?id=10

And I can speak from experience that there is nothing like creating one's own work to, as you so eloquently stated, "better equip an actor to fulfill his creative role in the entire production process." I feel a stronger sense of empowerment and collaboration in the audition room these days.

I appreciate your taking the time to issue this challenge and wish you a terrific run of Ghost!

Well, now I'm old enough to play the servants in a Chekhov play............I hope this becomes a reality for the next generation of actors before they are old enough to play "Anfisa!"

Dear Michael: As usual, your words are inspiring.Studying that summer with Slava brought Chekhov and Stanislavsky alive in a way that none of my other acting classes had done. It has had a lasting effect on me. Please give Slava my best wishes and and thanx for his wonderful classes.

Dude!

I had no idea you were a member of the Actors Center Co. !
How are you?
I love class with Ron and am so happy to have a place to work out. But you're right, making your own art is where its at; not waiting, not fearing anything, just doing it. Flex the muscle, it gets stronger.

So enjoyed reading you.

Hoping you are thriving, whatever you are up to.

love,

Amy

Dear Michael, I am sorry to hear of your, our, immense loss. I cannot claim to have known Earle as well or as long as you. I do share your esteem for him. I am so very appreciative of the time I did have to work with him and to watch and listen to him work with others. I still learn from Earle daily. That continues.

My deepest sympathies, Randy

Dear Michael:

Thank you so much for guiding me to the Founder's Page. I can't wait to learn more about your plans for the 2013 Congresses and the "Actor as Artist" campaign. In the meantime, I will be investigating a few things about the environment here in Chicago. Kindest regards, Cynthia
